Today is WEEK 2 of our ‘Autumn Acting Activities’ over this lockdown period. Each week we are setting some optional activities you can get involved with from your own home!
November 11th was Armistice Day, and November 8th was Remembrance Sunday. These are memorial days where we remember those who fought in the two world wars and later conflicts. ❤️
This weeks Autumn Activities are along this theme (you can take part in one or both!) ⬇️
⚙️TECHNICAL CHALLENGE:
Prop show and tell. 👜
Imagine you have have been enlisted to the army! 🎖️You are only allowed to take a few treasured possesions in your kit bag. Choose 3 items and think about why you have chosen them. 💭
📸You could take a picture of your chosen items and write down the reasons why you have chosen them. Or ask a family member to record you showing the items to the camera and explaining why you have chosen these items. 🎥
📢PERFORMANCE/SCRIPT CHALLENGE:
Sending a letter home 💌
Imagine you are a soldier at war or a refugee who has had to move to the countryside to stay safe. Write a letter home to your loved ones. 📝
💭 How are you feeling? What do you miss? What do you want them to know?
💡 Think about who you are writing to, and the tone of your letter.
📜 Once you’ve written your letter, read it aloud as your character. Why not read it to a family member? Record and share your performance with us if you would like to! 🎬
