“Thank you so much for providing this fantastic opportunity and great place to go. It really is a huge credit to you. All three of my children really enjoy it and you help give guidance to get great results too. They have achieved so much and their confidence grows from attending your class. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

At ‘Honley Drama’ we understand that acting is not just for actors. We know that the confidence, creativity and imagination taught through drama is invaluable whatever path you may take in the future.
The ‘Honley Drama & Speech School’ was established by ‘Italia Conti’ alumnus Koren Vanyj in 1988 and passed onto Natalie Johnstone (nee Haigh) in 2009.
Natalie found her love for performing when joining the drama school at the age of nine and began helping out in the younger classes as she progressed through the school. She honed her skills through participating in LAMDA examinations, performing in annual plays and writing original scenes and sketches for other pupils.
Natalie took over the running of ‘Honley Drama’ at the age of nineteen whilst studying at University. Following her graduation and achieving a first-class degree in Drama, Natalie continued to pursue her love of performing alongside a teaching career. As well as the running of all classes at Honley, Natalie is currently Head of Drama at Huddersfield Grammar School.
